El epígrafe de Whitehead establece la construcción dominante, de dos filos, la que contiene y regula a todas las demás: la de la disyuntiva y la conexión, la separación y la intimidad. “La consustancialidad del cuerpo”: el cuerpo no como “yo” sino “con-migo” es al mismo tiempo el cuerpo que está inescapablemente “conmigo”. Como un gemelo siamés, ni uno conmigo ni separable de mí, mi cuerpo me ha “seguido desde que el negro vientre contenía”, moviéndose donde yo me muevo, acompañando cada uno de mis actos.
